A sculpture is any figure carved, molded and welded out of a variety of materials. Human figures are the most popular patterns of various sculptures all over the world. However, there are also sculptures based on animal figures and other remarkable creatures. You can also opt for sculpture benches for you to have a space to sit on when you are in your garden.
Sculptures and fountains are very easy to make use of in one's garden. All you need to do is to choose a design which fits your taste and put them in strategic places. Proper placing of such structures is also important. You don't want your garden to look overcrowded, right? For an instance, you can put a fountain in the middle of your garden to serve as a prominent landmark. You can also put nicely carved sculptures in between the trees to add more stylishness and improve the ambiance of the landscape.
No need to worry, because with these you can still get to play around with your creativity.Aside from sculptures, fountains are also very popular as a garden ornament. The sounds of falling water from the fountain are said to be very soothing and calming. That is why if you prefer a quiet and comfortable feel in your garden where you can sit back and relax anytime you want, these are the best choice.

Kaziranga animal rehab centre turns 10
India's first multi-species animal rehabilitation centre adjoining a national park turned 10 on Monday after giving a new lease of life to more than 1,600 animals. The Centre of Wildlife Rehabilitation and Conservation (CWRC) near Kaziranga National Park has another first – as nursery for animals Dinosaur Skeleton Exhibition-T-Rex Fossil reintroduced in wildlife preserves from where they had been wiped out.
CRWR was established on this day in 2002 by the Assam forest department and the International Fund for Animal Welfare-Wildlife Trust of India (IFAW-WTI). The 10th anniversary is scheduled for Tuesday. In these 10 years, the centre has nurtured back animals from elephants, bears, rhinos and tigers to hoolock gibbons and porcupines besides reptiles and birds such as Fiberglass Animals-Cobra Snake Model and greater adjutant storks. Among its 'patients' were a calf injured in conflict with people, a rhino orphaned by poachers, an adult tiger gored by rhino and a traumatised leopard trapped in an urban house.
"CWRC addresses cases of wild animals in distress, be it due to natural causes such as floods, or even man-made causes including conflicts. Assam has set numerous exemplary wildlife conservation and welfare milestones for the entire country to follow, and this centre is one of those," Assam's chief wildlife warden Suresh Chand said.CWRC was strategically placed targeting the issue of river Brahmaputra displacing and killing hundreds of Kaziranga animals every year during floods.

Hawaiian Animal Smuggling Plot Exposed
A Maui pilot has pleaded guilty to loading deer on helicopters and flying them from Maui and the Big Island, offering a glimpse into an alleged scheme by hunters to move deer and sheep between the Hawaiian Islands to establish new game populations for their sport.Neither axis deer nor mouflon sheep -- the specific animals involved -- are native to Hawaii and don't have natural predators here. Their presence has damaged fragile native ecosystems and farms on the islands where they've become established.
The alleged animal smugglers took axis deer from Maui to the Big Island and dropped them off to roam. Officials say they took Big Island sheep to a Maui hunting ranch, but apparently didn't release them to the wild. Even so, the sheep's arrival on Maui for the first time deeply concerns conservationists who fear the animals could escape or give others the idea to bring over more.
"Some of our most endangered dry forest community on Maui would definitely be negatively impacted if sheep got established on Maui. They're already being impacted by the deer. The sheep would just be one more thing that was contributing to their demise," said Chuck Chimera, a botanist on Maui involved in efforts to fight invasive species.

Rabbit, grouse populations good for hunting season, DWR says
Jason Robinson, upland game coordinator for the DWR, said many upland game populations, including cottontail rabbits, go through population cycles. Cottontail rabbits bottomed out in Utah about two years (ago), but their numbers have been climbing since."We've received some really encouraging cottontail rabbit reports," Robinson said, "especially from the eastern and southern parts of the state. In some cases, biologists are seeing more rabbits than they've seen in several years."
However, Robinson cautions that you won't find rabbits China Exhibition Dinosaurs manufacturers. "Overall," he said, "populations are still fairly low. But if you find a pocket of rabbits, you can enjoy some great hunting."To find rabbits, Robinson encourages you to focus your efforts in two areas: The bottom of draws that have tall shrubs or in rocky outcroppings where rabbits have their burrows.
"Early morning is the best time of day to locate Life Size Dimetrodon Model," he said. "Cottontails have a broad range, and most areas in Utah have them."To find the best pockets of habitat, Robinson recommends scouting a location close to home that you can visit multiple times.DWR biologists in south-central and southwestern Utah are reporting good numbers of cottontail rabbits in most of the counties in that part of the state.

Seven rescued rabbits perish due to poor health
Seven of the 222 rabbits removed from Bunny Magic Wildlife and Rabbit Rescue Inc. in Lusby last week have died.Lt. Steve Jones of the Calvert County Sheriff's Office said the more than 200 rabbits removed from the rescue were taken to the Tri-County Animal Shelter in Hughesville, where some received medical treatment. Jones said all of the rabbits that were taken were in poor health and had "grooming issues."
"Where the rabbits were being contained [at the rescue] … was unhealthy," Jones said. "Some were underfed and not well taken care of."Jones said that seven of the rabbits have died due to being in such poor health. The rest of the rabbits will remain at the shelter until they are healthy enough to be adopted and the Calvert County State's Attorney's Office and Animal Control conclude their investigation, he said.
County officials executed a search warrant and removed the sick and injured rabbits Aug. 8 from the shelter after receiving a complaint July 24 from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals that the rabbits were living in inhumane conditions.PETA was notified of the rabbits being kept in poor conditions by a whistleblower, and a PETA investigator then confirmed the conditions.

Are Butterflies Two Different Animals in One ?
What he's saying is, while a moth appears to be one animal, with a wormy start and a flying finish, it's actually two animals — two in one! We start with a baby caterpillar that lives a full life and then dies, dissolves. There's a pause. Then a new animal, the moth, springs to life, from the same cells, reincarnated.
According to this theory, long, long ago, two very different animals, one destined to be wormy, the other destined to take wing, accidently mated, and somehow their genes learned to live side-by-side in their descendants. But their genes never really integrated. They are sharing a DNA molecule like two folks sharing a car, except half way through the trip, one driver dissolves and up pops his totally different successor.
Many insects begin life as worm-shaped, leggy, tubular thingies that spend lots of time eating. We call them grubs or maggots or caterpillars, and they are programmed by a set of genes that sit in their DNA, spelled out in chemical letters, A, C, T and G.Notice I've put my "caterpillar" instruction genes on the left side of the DNA. The instructions on the right side are, temporarily, silent.

We need some information on bamboo floors. We want to freshen the look on the main floor of our house. We have lived here for 17 years and have the same tile in the foyer area as when we moved in. These are the highest traffic areas in our house. We have a dog, as well.
We'd like to replace the flooring in all of these areas with hardwood, but I have heard that hardwood floors might not be a good idea with a dog running around. I have a friend who told me about all the benefits of bamboo flooring. He is installing his floors later this month. I am still somewhat guarded about them because they are more of a manufactured floor like a laminate, as far as I understand.
